It is time for you to get acquainted with the spectacular Canary Islands! This is a Spanish archipelago located off the coast of northwestern Africa, it consists of eight islands, the largest one being Tenerife, followed by Fuerteventura.
The Canary Islands are best known for their beautiful and scenic nature, rugged volcanic isles, wide sandy shores, and year-round sunshine. Another reason to visit these islands is the Spanish overall feel you get especially in the villages and small cities.

Spend a day out on the water!
There are many options available for a day on the water. From sailboats to catamarans to pirate ships. Don’t forget to stay alert as dolphins often come out to play! Popular cruises here are sunsets and evening cruises.
Take the boat and visit nearby Lanzarote, a volcanic Island nearby also known as the Black Island.

Going off-road is the best way to explore Fuerteventura’s nature. We drove along the coastline to the mountains of Jandia. We visited the untouched beaches of Cofete and ended in the Old Punta Jandía lighthouse, the southernmost point of the island. Here you will also find “La Colina del Amor” ~ Spanish for “the hill of love” with stunning panoramic views.

Visit the mysterious Villa Winter
This is the home of a German engineer called Gustav Winter, also believed to be a Nazi spy during WW2. The house is located in a remote area on the peninsula of Jandía, and the mysterious cemetery situated by the beach contributes to the mystery of it all.
It is believed the villa’s tower served as a bearing point for submarines and airplanes landing at the nearby airfield at Punta Jandía. What was the purpose of constructing this villa in the middle of the wasteland with infertile soil? No one really knows. It is also believed that a cave system that exists beneath the house provides a subterranean connection to the sea.
