9 X Top Travel Tips For Fun In The Algarve, Portugal!
Welcome To The Algarve!
The Algarve is Portugal’s southernmost region, a magnet for millions of tourists flocking here each year for a variety of reasons; the glorious climate, gorgeous beaches, beautiful rugged landscape, authentic fishermen's towns, architecture, history, delicious food, and wonderfully warm and engaging locals.
The Algarve has, on the one hand, a beautiful coastline where you can enjoy relaxation on the beach or get sunkissed by the swimming pool and on the other hand, it also offers an interesting inland experience where you can discover more about the local history, culture, and traditions. Whether it’s a ‘Fun in the sun’ type vacation or combining it with an introduction to Portugal, there is no shortage of choices here!

Where To Stay
Albufeira and Faro are probably the most popular towns with holidaymakers, however, if you would like a slight remote more quiet area, you can choose to stay in Tavira or Sagres.
We chose to stay in Albufeira. I love the buzz and energy of the crowds, the beaches were stunning, there are lots of restaurants and happening nightlife, and it is a central point to exploring the rest of what the Algarve has to offer by car.
Lagos is another good option, smaller and less crowded than Albufeira, and yet it’s home to the best most popular beaches such as Praia Dona Ana. Almancil is more on the luxurious side, located on the east side of the Algarve.
