There's a New Cocktail Bar in town, and it is a game changer, ladies and gents. Yes, I did say "gents!"
Bar Hachi serves unique cocktails, served to you in a beautifully stylish and funky interior. You will find dazzling designs ranging from animal prints to Japanese art and funky jungle prints. Lovely music and an overall wonderful and chilled ambiance.
Surprisingly, many people believe that cocktails are primarily for women. This cocktail bar begs to differ.
Each cocktail at Hachi tells an impressive story that transports you to another world. Boris, the bartender, shared his inspiration for the melon old-fashioned using an unusual ingredient: bacon-infused Bourbon! This came to him after he was asked to create a new cocktail using Midori, which is a melon fruit liquor. Melon made him think of a popular dish in the States, bacon-wrapped melon, which led him to bacon-infused bourbon.
We spent a fabulous evening with my girl crew at the bar, soaking in the ambiance and having a taste of their beautiful selection of cocktails.
Normally, I stick to my favorites and classic cocktails but not this time. I surrendered myself to Boris and went with his recommendations, and I'm happy I did. My Top Three Cocktails you must try are the Mini Moscow Mule, Mr. White, and Mr. Blonde.
Another thing that I loved was how the bartender knew exactly which cocktails to make for us to match our palates perfectly after he took the time to chat with us and understand what we like.
This is the standard to strive for ~ "Be happy; be hachi."

A Porn Star Martini cocktail in Amsterdam
Porn Star Martini! Did you know that a martini was James Bond’s favorite drink?
Ingredients
25ml Vanilia vodka & Vanilla syrup
50ml passionfruit purée
50ml pineapple juice
1⁄2 a passion fruit
25ml prosecco
Instructions
Fill your martini glass with crushed ice to chill and place to one side.
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into your chilled glass, and as garnish add half a passion fruit on top with a spoon. Enjoy!
It’s customary to serve this with a shot glass of prosecco, honestly, I never understood that addition, this is of course up to you!
My second favorite is of course a Cosmo!
A Cosmopolitan Cocktail
Ingredients
45ml lemon vodka
15ml triple sec
30ml cranberry juice
10ml lime juice
orange or lime zest
Instructions
Fill your martini glass with crushed ice to chill and place to one side.
Shake ingredients with ice and strain into your chilled glass, as garnish add the orange zest. Enjoy!
