Museums

Visit the Zeitz MOCAA This is a fascinating contemporary art museum of Africa and its diasporas, the South African version of the Tate museum if you will.

The Gangster Museum This is a fun and interactive museum unlike others you’ll visit. This unusual place aims to shade light and show other more positive sides to Cape Town’s most gangster-ridden communities. It’s both educational, moving, and very inspirational!

Park

The Company's Garden is not just a park, it’s also a heritage site located at the heart of the city. It’s beautiful and tranquil, a green lung in the middle of the bustling city. And my favorite part? Feeding the cute squirrels who live here, they are definitely not afraid of people either. At the entrance to the park, you can buy food bags for them.

The Atlantic ocean will be in front of you while the beautiful mountain range called the 12 Apostles is behind you. STUNNING!

High Tea At The Belmond Mount Nelson Hotel - To say this hotel is magnificent is an understatement! Everything about this place has a WOW effect! The buildings, the setting, the design, the service, and of course the food. Take high tea on the terrace and enjoy a celebration of flavors, colors, as well as views.

Explore The V&A Waterfront Restaurants, bars, arts and craft stores, views of the waters, and the vibes are sensational! No visit to Cape Town is complete without spending time here!

Bonus Tip! You can take a boat ride from here and spend time on the water.

Sightseeing

Explore the Castle of Good Hope This is a bastion fort dating back to the 17th century. This castle was declared a historical monument and is considered the best-preserved example of a 17th-century architectural structure in the entire world!

Visit BO KAAP: It’s the most colorful, iconic, rich with history and folk spirit spot you’ll find here. This colorful neighborhood located on the slopes of Single Hill has a sad past as this was formerly a township for slaves.

The pastel & bright colors which we associate normally with positivity, happiness, and joy were actually used as an expression of freedom. MUST VISIT!

Activities

A day at the beach: Camps bay is my favorite beach however, you can’t go wrong with any other beach you choose as they are all beautiful!! If you are in Camps Bay, once you’re done sunbathing, chilling in the waters, or just taking a walk to admire these beautiful views go have a drink or a meal across the street in one of the many restaurants and bars overlooking the ocean.

Bonus Tip! Visit the tidal pools, these are natural pools filled with ocean waters. Cool experience though ice-cold lol

From Hout Bay, you can take a boat tour to swim with seals or cage dive with sharks. The boat ride is NOT for the faint-hearted! If you do get seasick then make sure you have what you need to ease the journey.

Don’t miss out on Simon’s Town where you can walk down to Boulder’s beach, interact, and watch the many penguins who live there!
