Go up Mount Vesuvius: This is an active volcano located on the Gulf of Naples in Campania. This volcano is famous as well as responsible for destroying the city of Pompeii completely and killing 16,000 people back in the day. There are three other volcanos in the area of Naples also worthy of a visit: Posillipo, Phlegraean Fields, and Nisida.

Spend a day on the beach: Gaiola Beach is where you want to be! The beaches do get very crowded during peak hours and the high season so make sure you get there early enough to claim your perfect spot. Other favorite beaches to explore are Miliscola Beaches, Bagno Elen, and Lucrino beach.
